Mariah is one of the driving forces of Kizomba in Kuala Lumpur. She is known for her elegant and feminine styling, and her approach to teaching is one of self-expression, aimed at inspiring students to find their own individual styles, while giving detailed breakdown for body control. Ever evolving, she continues to learn and develop her own unique style with training and influence from European Artists.
Mariah specialises in Kizomba Fusion and has been competing, performing and teaching under the Afro-Latin umbrella since 2018. Her dance journey began with Ceroc in 2017 and went to finals of the Ceroc Pan Asia Champs the same year. In 2018 she was introduced to the Afro-Latin dance scene in KL and began to assist teaching Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata weekly. Mariah won the Bachata Jack&Jill Competition by World Bachata Festival KL in 2018.
In 2020 Mariah became a Kizomba Fusion Instructor with KizKlass in Kuala Lumpur. In 2022 Mariah won the Tarraxo Jack&Jill Competition by Jack & Sara, Global Tarraxo, and within the same year, she conducted her first Kizomba Ladies Styling Workshop and will be doing a workshop for World Bachata Festival 2023. To date, she has performed over 30 Afro-Latin performances. Mariah and her Kizomba Ladies Team will be performing at World Bachata Festival 2023.
