Sandy

Sandy is one of the well-known bachateros in Australia and overseas for her authentic flavour of
bachata and her love for promoting Dominican bachata wherever she goes.
Sandy frequently travels to the Dominican Republic since 2017 to train with the best Bachata dancers
and instructors from the island. She believes that one shall not stop learning even after teaching
and competing to be able to give her students the most updated knowledge and skills. It is
important to embrace it all from the roots, the culture, and the music that forms this beautiful dance
of Bachata.
Sandy has also been trained in other genres of dance such as Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, Paso
Doble, Salsa, and Merengue which has given her a solid foundation in various Latin dance techniques.
During her dance competition period, Sandy reached the highest level.

  • Bachata World Champion at World Salsa Summit Miami
  • Twice World Champion runner up
      1. Merengue at World Salsa Summit Miami
      2. Bachata at World Latin Dance Cup Orlando
  • 14 times National Bachata Champion

In recent years, Sandy has shifted her focus to teaching more about the social dancing aspect of bachata.
Currently Sandy is the chief instructor of Bachata Fever Dance holding weekly classes at La Bodega.
Sandy has also recently conducted Bachata workshops and classes in Asia.
Sandy’s goal is to teach the skills and share the love of traditional bachata.
